About Carolina Star Safety Conference
Carolina Star Safety Conference Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that offers and promotes education about safety and health best practices in the workplace for all types of industries and occupations.The Carolina Star Safety Conference
The Carolina Star Safety Conference began in 1997 as a small workshop with only a few participating companies that shared best practices and safety information.
Together, these leaders recognized the need for up-to-date and relevant safety information throughout the state of North Carolina. It was the foresight of these individuals that helped give birth to the Carolina Star Safety Conference, Inc.
Passionate about the safety of workers, the Carolina Star Safety Conference is a collaboration built up of over 150 leading companies throughout North Carolina and governed by a volunteer board of directors from Carolina Star Program companies who are passionate about worker safety.
While the Carolina Star Safety Conference is not a state entity, we work in partnership with the North Carolina Department of Labor’s Carolina Star Program to facilitate safer work environments through the promotion of best practices that prevent or minimize the potential of workplace incidents that could result in injuries and illnesses.

The Carolina Star Safety Conference offers a variety of sessions for workers to continue their development in the area of safety and health. Conference attendees will have the opportunity to share ideas and best practices with other safety and health professionals. Additionally, conference attendees return to work with increased morale, new perspective, and innovative ideas resulting in safer working conditions, improved quality and productivity. Finally, the Carolina Star Safety Conference delivers top-quality occupational safety and health education and extensive opportunities to network with businesses and leaders from all over the state.
Mission
As a committed team of safety professionals, the Carolina Star Safety Conference, Inc. Board will share knowledge and best practices to promote continuous improvement in safety.
We will provide training and educational opportunities that support the five key elements of the Carolina Star Program in order to increase safety awareness among North Carolina workers.
Through mutual respect and teamwork, we will strive to promote partnerships with the North Carolina Department of Labor which will ultimately result in safe work environments for all.
